Hello everyone
I was approved as a member recently and thanks very much for having me. I collected stamps when I was a child living in Rhodesia. However that fell away. Now I have inherited a stamp collection which is in a lot of disorder. This collection was originally started by my husband's Great grandfather in the 1800s. My Mother in Law continued after he passed away. I know it is not hugely valuable as the bulk of the good ones were all sold off to pay for a private nursing home. However I am having a lot of fun trying to catalogue and identify the stamps I have. I hope to enagage in some fun chat about stamps whilst I learn all about them

Welcome Jane - So glad to have you join our club.
Feel free to ask any questions and share photos from the albums. It tickles me that you have such a beautiful heritage of stamps from your family. "Valuable" ones are not necessarily those of monetary worth, but ones that mean something to your heart and it sounds like your entire collection is one of such value

Hello, Jane. I hope you will be able to find some philatelic gems in the inherited collection. I started from scratch, so I have no idea how it feels like to inherit one. Have fun!
