Looked & looked for one. found one unused in a lot of 4 Empire Exhibition items on Feebay
they were asking $258.00 for the lot. Image Not Found
Any help to get a more specific value would be appreciated. Are they listed in that obscure catalog?

Huggins & Baker (2007) price this at 15 pounds mint but I'd expect the toning to reduce this significantly.Sad

re: 1924 Empire Exhibition letter card.

Hi Charlie2009,

"You'll find both the 1d and 1.5d here"

There were only two letter cards issued with exhibition stamps. They both had the same 1½d brown stamp but one was dated 1924 and the other 1925. The example in the link is for the 1925 letter card which is priced in Huggins & Baker (2007) at 25 pounds mint.

There were also four postcards issued with exhibition stamps, this time in two values, the 1d red (such as the one the link) and the 1½d brown, with both issued with both 1924 and 1925 dates.

As far as I know the only other official postal stationery with these stamps were two envelopes with the 1½d brown stamp dated 1924 and 1925.

Hey! Guys, thanks . Geez! I had to hold it under a bright light to see the grayish tone.
Actually, basically, there's just a few tiny little spots at the top which I seem to seen on here someplace they call "foxing".Thumbs Up
BTW: bought a whole big box of neat GB stuff at Michael Roger's auction last Friday.Big Grin
