ThePhilatelist Wish I was Engraved! 22 Jul 2014 06:25:24pm
Hey everyone,
I am a new member on here on Stamporama! I am primarily a collector of used postage stamps, although there is evidence of the occasional unused stamp in my collection.
I specialize in the stamps of the British Commonwealth, with focus on India. I prefer stamps with good postmarks, and have a particular weakness for "portrait definitives" and especially those of Queen Victoria. But I collect all well-designed stamps, and love ogling at engraved stamps.
PS: Interested members can find my real name through the member profile; but please use only my handle (ThePhilatelist) on the forum which is public.
I have a particular fondness for QV India revenues; do you collect same?

"may I call you The?"
If that identifies me without confusion, then sure!

I own a one anna Queen Victoria revenue (inscribed "Government of India") used with an excellent signature in Gujarati. I have another revenue stamp from Honk Kong belonging to the Victorian period.
That pretty much sums up my Queen Victoria revenue collection.
