There are so many very cool stamps whose pics pop up in the upper left corner. Question - are these pics of stamps in Stamporama club member's collections? If yes, then WOW! In any case - love those pics.

re: Just curious about the stamps in the upper left corner
I suppose not all of them will be in some Stamporama member's collection. The German Audrey Hepburn stamp for instance is extremely rare and sells for well over $ 100,000! There are only 3 sheets of 10 and 5 single used stamps known. The other 13,999,900 or so that were printed have been destroyed.

That's correct. Audrey's children refused to give their approval because she was depicted smoking. Unfortunately the German postal services had already printed 14 million stamps and sent out a few sheetlets to the Postal authorities and the designer. Not all came back when the decision was made not to release the stamps.

".... Not all came back........"
Imagine that !
I wish I had to make that decision.
Let's see, what should I do, send this potentially rare sheetlet back to be destroyed or save at least half of the stamps to benefit history and culture. Also there is the possibility of sending one of he grand kids to college or paying off the mortgage.
Hmmm, decisions, decisions.
