Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie stamp collector from Norway. I started collecting about 6 months ago, primarily to get me a hobby that isn't exclusively on the computer. Many computer games I have played as a hobby includes collecting of some sort, so I figured stamp collecting would be something I could enjoy. Washing/Soaking, sorting and mounting stamps have been relaxing and fun so far
Starting up I bought 3kg unwashed stamps, 3 x 1kg bags with different content. I'm still working on the first bag, 1kg sure was a lot more than I expected it to be. I've started with Norwegian stamps, and will probably choose more countries as I go through my kilo ware bags.
Look forward to get to know you here on the StampoRama community
Welcome! I also find the sorting and arranging of my stamps to be relaxing. I had a final exam recently and whenever I got stressed while studying I just took some time and looked through some of my stamps. It was a great relief!
I'm fairly new at this too and have found this community to be a great place to learn about stamps and the hobby. There are so many different ways a person can focus their own interest in stamps. That's what I love about it!

re: Greetings from Norway
Welcome Makazi! You are in the right place at the right time. Sounds like you are getting started in collecting the right way - enthusiastically! We are here to help you any way we can, but stamp collecting has few requirements, and only one is important: collect what you want the way you want. If you do not enjoy it, go at it a different way - this hobby is about fun, not labor.

Hi
Welcome to Stamporama. It's a great site with lots of friendly helpful people. My family left Norway and came to Canada years ago. I have great memories of a beautiful land.
