re: When should a seller retire an approval book if all items have been sold?
In my (not so) humble opinion, once a book is sold out (or even substantially sold out), it should be retired immediately. Buyers can access images of purchased lots for up to 120 days from date of purchase from their list of "won lots"; and Sellers can access images of sold lots for up to a year from their list of "sold lots." As far as I know, the images are out there indefinitely since they appear to be stored in the same place as those uploaded to the DB.
Keeping a sold out book on display just creates clutter. When APS circuit books reach a certain level they are retired and pulled from circulation. We should probably do the same.

Liz,
You can retire the book ASAP and the buyers will still be able to view indefinitely or until Tim's auto delete systems kicks in. This will also keep others from viewing a "Sold out" book.

Note that even though you retire a book, as a seller you can still access that book and view its pages. There is a delete book option when you edit your books, and if you click that, then your book will no longer be visible to you.
