i have had a longstanding trade partnership with John, and I can only attest to the ease with which things happened between us. I shall miss that. Mrs Blackie, my heartfelt condolences.

re: Closed Album: John Blackwood (Blackie)
I have had many interactions with John, both as a buyer and seller on our auction. There are several items in my collection, both stamps and covers, that I will be always recognizing as from Blackie. He will be missed.
Although in keeping with the great plan for us all, John's passing will be missed. I enjoyed the dialogues in the past of which he was a part, and wish him well on his continuing journey. To Mrs.Blackwood I send the thought that we are not humans seeking a spiritual experience, but that we are all spirits having a human experience. I morn your loss, but am comforted by the knowledge that all is as it must be. Be strong, stay strong, and please reach out if you feel the need to do so. There are many here who were touched by John .

I bought a lot of stamps from John. He has been a great, long time member of Stamporama. John was actively using the Stamporama website almost up to the day he died. He last logged in on Oct 6th.
I'm sorry to hear of Blackie's passing. I enjoyed receiving some of his stamps in the mail during the last few years that I've been a member here. And I was always glad to send him another vintage post card he won in a SOR auction.
He will be missed.
Mrs. Blackwood, I wish you peace. And I wish you have a vast collection of good memories.
I have just read this thread and am very saddened to hear of Blackie's passing. I only had one dealing with him, but afterwoods I received a lovely e-mail from him and thought he was an absolute gentleman. RIP John and my sympathies to Mrs. Blackwood.
