Hi everyone,
I joined the StampoRama site a few weeks ago on the lovely encouraging email from the delightful "purrfin2" I knew her wonderful sister and have now made a new friend with her - she is doing a GREAT job with her inheritance! through stamps (We also share a few jokes and funnies - in our life outside stamps!)
I live in a rural area in south-east Queensland anad have 4 big kids with 4 in-laws and 7 grandchildren between them! I am currently in the horrendous activity of moving house - a HUGE downsize in both the land and house we have lived in for 25 years! As a result I may be a little dizzy for a while!!
I started collecting stamps through my dear Grandfather....but stopped in the 80s due to family and rejoining the work force.
Now I am retired and have started filling in many gaps in my collecting and of course got bored with the few countries I was working on - so have expanded to the point of uncontrollable!! So many stamps - so little time!
I have been involved in Ebay for a long time, Bidstart and now here.
I love hearing from people in other countries and hope to keep some great friendships going and find lots of new stamp-mates as well!
Oh yes - and I am happy to buy, swap, sell, trade, talk stamps too!
Good to see you over here. You will like the chatter here. Fun group to be with.
Keep us updated on your big house move.

Thank you all for your nice welcomes!
Sitting surrounded by boxes of stuff.....haven't been able to be totally ruthless - guess I am a bit of a hoarder and sentimentalist!
Have of course left my stamp things around.....we have 2 weeks before we officially own our next property.....need this temperamental teenage computer to keep me company!

Welcome Elizabeth. Great name, my mom's name was Eliza. Don't know what happened to the Beth, I think it went somewhere else. Great to have you aboard. I collect duck stamps, so if you have any of those little rascals you want to get rid of let me know. Dan
