Hello everyone, I too am looking to this forum to replace SCF for me. At that other place I get the feeling that sooner or later I will irritate the moderator and get booted off. The loss of the auctions also turned me off. I am not giving up on it completely though.
I have been a stamp collector off and on since the 1950's. About year 2000 I returned to it and have been at it ever since. I concentrate on US, Canada, Zeppelins, and lately, Newfoundland. I also collect Washington state and territorial covers.
I see lots of familiar names here, so some of you already know me from my avatar.

Welcome Yakima. I know you selected your username to reflect the city of Yakima, but it also reminds of my favorite stuntman and character actors from the 1930s, Yakima Canutt (also John Wayne's frequent co-star and mentor).

I know how you feel.
I didn't leave SCF so much for any mistreatment to myself personally, however, I am opinionated, and speak my mind... and the atmosphere of fear and "walking on eggshells" over there now makes visiting unenjoyable. You can't have a comfortable gathering place if everyone is uncomfortable just being there.
bobby1948: Yes, Yakima Canutt was a wonderful stuntman & actor. I miss John Wayne & the other 30's "cowboys". Tom Mix was good so was Ken Maynard. I also enjoyed the singing of both Gene Autry & Roy Rogers. Heigh- Ho Silver & I don't mean the 2013 Film! Ted.
