Hi! I see that many love space exploration stamps. I also just wanted to share one of the lot I've got. I have just as much on that topic from the 1960's and 50's from Russia. Trying to collect the same topic in blocks or sheet for the USA.This would make a nice topic on the past space race.
Those, as you can see are from the 1970's. I can't stop admiring them myself!
Daniel.
One of the reasons I started to collect stamps from Russia and Czechoslovakia back in the 1960s was because of their space stamps. Always liked them. Thanks for sharing.

'Cosmonautics Day (Russian: День КоÑмонаÌвтики, Den Kosmonavtiki) is a holiday celebrated in Russia and some other former USSR countries on April 12. This holiday celebrates the first manned space flight made on April 12, 1961 by the 27-year-old Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. Gagarin circled the Earth for 1 hour and 48 minutes aboard the Vostok 1 spacecraft.
The holiday was established in the Soviet Union one year later, on April 9, 1962. In modern Russia, it is celebrated in accordance with Article 1.1 of the Law "On the Days of Military Glory and the Commemorative Dates in Russia".' (Wikipedia)
