trying to put my Us back together from the fire. saved most of my old Us but threw them in cigar box. they're all together. can't determine which is which. Also looking at back of some i see they have lines. dealer i know says they're laid paper. He also said that the soft porus paer is darker than the white wove. any help would be appreciated. my eye sight getting worse, too.

WELCOME BACK CARL,
As to the question, are you familiar with the 'flick test'? If not, ask your dealer friend to show you how it's done. This relies upon hearing rather than sight. If that doesn't work for you, get back to us here and we'll try to work out a system that can help.
Good to have you back, all in one piece.
