JUst above the "Grenada" is some printing that I cannot make out.
Have you checked Revenue Stamps books ?

the words "ONE PENNY" (in partially-faded black lettering) are located directly above the word Granada and directly below the circled image.
part of the handwritten manuscript cancel covers some of it up, making it a bit difficult for the eye to make out.
As Michael says this is a revenue issue, Barefoot #13 from 1879. I don't have a recent edition of the catalogue but in 1996 it was catalogued at fifty pence.
The crown and "ONE PENNY" are printed in green. This was the stamp overprinted "POSTAGE" to become Scott #16.
