I guess stapling the block with the backing intact is out of the question ?

I suspect that there will be a shakeout in FDC popularity similar to what the USPS caused when they began producing blocks with plate numbers that ran the length of the sheet and were far too big for all but the largest size envelopes.

I thought the USPS had a suction cup based machine that can position these things perfectly, but maybe that is just for singles.
