One of our members, Dianne Stahlin (purrfin) passed away a couple of weeks ago. Dianne participated here on the Stamporama Discussion Board and in our Auction, but she was more active and better known on BidStart. Dianne lived down in Fort Myers, FL. From the Stamporama Auctions she collected mainly postcards.

re: Closed Album: Dianne Stahlin (purrfin)
Of course I did not know her, but I do know how hard it is to lose someone. All my best to everyone grieving right now.

It is very sad to hear of Dianne's passing. She was a past member of the Cape Coral Stamp Club, a very nice lady, with a quick smile and certainly too young to be called away from her family. The last I knew she was very active on Bidstart, having several thousand items for sale. Since I am the Secretary of the CCSC, I don't get much time to visit with many of the members, but was always happy to see Dianne's cheerful smile while she was perusing the auction lots spread out on the tables or as she was in line to pay for the items she had bought.

Diane's store on BidStarts is still up and running. Her sister, Luree, has picked up to baton.
Diane was proud in her complete Europa collection. She also built small collections that she gave to the younger ones in her family in hopes to get them interested in collecting stamps. She was also crazy about cats.
There will be a memorial service for Diane on Friday, March 23 at 3:30 PM. The family will be meeting at a quaint Chapel on Sanibel Island and then will be going over to the Sanibel Causeway, where Dianne and her husband had their first kiss, to send her ashes out to sea.
