As for the likely origin of the Due 2 Cents marking, see here:

It sure is an oddity, but I would probably prefer an unmultiated copy of the stamp over this one.

Lovely how we were able to tie this back to the opera glass due thread. nice.

and i'm on the other side of the philatelic fence, far prefering this cancel to the more mundane killers.
