Here is an inverted overprint on a Panama stamp. It has been
expertized by Kessler whose name is stamped on the back, as being genuine.
Not listed in Scott, but I have been told that it is listed in an old Sanabria Airmail Catalog.
Listed in Scott as a normal stamp as #C198
Here is Panama #C282-3, but Imperf, and the 10¢ value should be green, not ultramarine as is the 15¢.
Not listed in Scott as imperf and green, but I have been told that they are listed in an old Sanabria Airmail
Catalog. Can anyone tell me the value of these errors?
For the airmail stamps these imperfs come up fairly often in online sales. I estimate that the pair has a market price of $3-8.
With regard to the inverted overprint, I have never seen one before. I get the impression that a number of inverted overprints of Panama stamps were made for the philatelic market. This is why, I suspect, Scott does not list them. I estimate the market value is at least $10 and perhaps as high as $30.
