Hey! Gang. Am in stamp Heaven. Got this box of old (70-100 yrs.) albums at the auction.
Anyway, first batch I need help with here is France , type A15 -Imperfs. No value given for used in Scott. Are cancels forged? 2nd batch are these Turkey?
I'm getting a whole envelope of stuff I can't find in catalogs.

re: Turkey locals and France colonies stamp identification
The Turkish stamps are issues of the Liannos City Post for Constantinople. They are listed back-of-the-book in Michel. Catalog value MH for the set of three around EUR 10.
The French stamps are indeed from the general issues for the colonies. However, with small margins and illegible cancels I would be concerned about doctored stamps of the common regular issue for France (cut perfs).
So I really like stamps from this issue like this:
What a beauty ... (almost too good to be true -- almost certainly a favor cancel).
Imperforated postage dues from the same period also may be issues for the colonies. Would you accept these as legitimate?

Hey!Thanks for the excellent help. Lee, I noticed those when I cataloged some French colonies
after I posted this, will check them out.
RL: those French PD's are forged cancellations? Darn good if so. And the first is a beauty.

No, no. I am not saying the cancellations are forged. I was trying to make a point that it is hard to tell if a genuine, used, and common perforated stamp was the basis for the now less common imperforated version. If the margins are small, and the cancel is not legible (indicating colonial usage), how can you tell for sure? Take a closer look and the postmark on the left stamp says "..RIS." Paris? I would not accept the bottom two stamps as genuine imperforated varieties, and rather hope to find better copies with legible cancels.
