Thank you for the new (?) feature on the home page — links to "Featured Articles". Perhaps it's been there for some time and I'm slow to notice, but what a great idea! It should certainly increase readership for all of the articles, and perhaps give an incentive for more members to write about their specialties and interests.
Thanks for the kind words guys. The featured articles have been there for while, but I have been thinking about them of late. Each time you go to the home page you receive a different random set of featured articles. I have been thinking that it might be better to have a set of featured articles for a period of time, say a day or a week. What do you guys think?
The idea of a rotating series of articles would be fine, as long as there is a way to pull up the featured items as well as being able to get to the master list for picks. Dan
I've been exploring the site more, and found these wonderful articles! But how do you post articles on the site? Is it by approval/review by someone, or is there a link to post something? I found some very informative and timely, such as those about inheriting collections and planning estates, in addition to interesting stories themselves.
Ralph posted a nice piece about writing articles for StampoRama back in 2009. Click on "Articles" and look for:
Writing for Stamporama

I've written a few articles for our site and have learned a couple of "tricks of the trade" using the text editor that is provided to compose your article and insert images of stamps, covers, photos, etc. The editor is a really nice tool and I will be glad to share what I've learned with anyone who is interested.
I did not see the article you mentioned, but there is one on how to load images to articles; from that I found out that in the Members area, there is an Articles List for creating articles.
