Auctions - Approvals
I have just found out today that one of our long time members has lost his battle with cancer.

Many of you will remember 'catcusjoe' Joe Hawksworth of Clovis, CA

I for one will really miss him and all his cheery emails throughout the years.

Thanks for letting us know Liz. I think Joe was a fairly long time member. He re-established his membership in the Members Database on 12/31/2008. He was interested in stamps from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Uk, IOM, Jersey, Guernsey, US and Malta.

Tim.

Although I don't know him, I would like to send my well wishes to his family. I would like to let them know that I know what it's like to lose someone to cancer. He is in a better place.

Poor Ol'Joe,
I traded stamps and stories with "Ol'Joe" for about ten years and it is not just that his body finally gave out, it is the discomfort that he sufferred for so long.
I guess it is a sign of age when you find that long term friends have passed on.
I am sure his many stamper friends will miss his dour humor.
