A wonderful collateral film is The Counterfeiters, which won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2008. It's available on DVD, and a "must see" in my opinion. It's riviting, and historically faithful.

This is a fantastic site on forgeries, etc. I read a good part of it, and have bookmarked it for further reference.
There is even a section on the WWII Philippine Guerrilla stamps of which I own one of the few remaining sheets.
