Hi Everyone, I'd like to draw your attention to a great new exhibit that I have just posted. The exhibit is called "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II" and was created by one of our members from the Philippines. Her name is Alyssah and her username is ALYX.
I agree Dan, Alyssah has done a wonderful job with this exhibit.
The difference between what we have in the Exhibits area and what we had planned for the gallery is that I have to load the images into the exhibits area and in the planned gallery I'd like everyone to be able to load their own stuff.
Hello, thanks for all your nice reviews of my QE II exhibit, I do hope you can also visit my website : http://www.freewebs.com/alvier Perhaps you can also write something in my guestbook. Happy Philately ! ALYSSAH XENIAH C. ALCALA Lucena City Philippines maeca_mvcc@yahoo.com

FYI
The QEII Diamond Jubilee is the largest FDC in the world. It measures 12.6 inches by 18 inches or 20% larger than the 1982 record of an FDC that commemorated the ‘200th Anniversary American Eagle Portrait’ which measured 11 inches by 17 inches

I am ABSOLUTELY FLOORED with the quality of the exhibit, Alyx's long and storied history, and the great organizational company she keeps. My goodness we are blessed.
I noted that she includes an APO study unit; Alyx is that for all US APOs or only those associated with the Philippines? I'd love to learn more.
One of my favorite covers of all time is one sent to a New Mexico NG unit just transferred to the Philippines before the Japanese arrived. I plan to write it up some day.
anyway, thanks for sharing Alyx

re: NEW EXHIBIT: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
WOW! What strikes me most about this extraordinary presentation is that it is assembled from easily attainable material; what makes it unique is the insight and organization skills of the collector/creator. So many times I begin to create an exhibit only to be discouraged by the limitations of my collection. This proves I do not really have that excuse (now if I just had Alyx's outside-the-box creativity...)
Well done, Alyx!

To improve my "Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH II" exhibit and enhance its chances to win more awards for my future philatelic exhibitions, may I appeal for your benevolent support and assistance in availing some more QE II philatelic items. In particular I am in need of QE II specimen, unusual shape stamps, and philatelic items issued by India, Bhutan, Trucial States, Labuan, Iran, St. Kitts, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Chad, Comoro Islands, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Cameroon. Likewise I am looking for issues depicting Buckingham palace, QE II guards, QE II horses, and Her Majesty's royal yacht.
The 5 frames exhibit focus on the illustrious life of Queen Elizabeth II and the vastness of the British empire under her reign by using a wide array of classic and contemporary philatelic items in good to very fine conditions.
Exhibited in the Philippines (6x), USA (5x), Australia (4x), Canada (2x), New Zealand, Israel, Austria, and in 5 websites.
