I just spent a lot of time today entering new listings on Ebay, first time in months. They now seem to want you to ship UPS, be open to offers, etc. Twice I had to get out after it refused to load a case on which I asked flat rate shipping.
Anybody else have a sellers link I can use? I hate the one where you enter an item name and hope you get anything near what you want. Ideas?
I list daily in many categories and have not encountered that. What I do is take an item in my store and do a list similar. All I do is change the title, pictures, price etc. You should be able to accomplish the same thing by selecting someone elses listing and click the box that says have one to sell? Sell now. Your item description will be blank, and you can change shipping etc. I did this very thing when I need to create a listing that would allow me to list multiple items in one listing, in this case, sheet music. I would never have figured it out otherwise.
If you want to look at one of my stamp listings as a model - search on item 372961551430
Hope this helps
all the best

Good point Ian! I have used it only once by request from a woman in Australia who bought a cookbook. I no longer do international shipping on anything other than a first class letter. She asked me to change the listing and add ebays global shipping, so I did and there were no problems. I figure though it is just one more pair of hands on an item that can lose it, and all mail services are not to be trusted

You can opt out of the Ebay offer system on your first listing of an item. However if you use the ebay multiple relisting system it automatically adds on the offers system.

I don't know about that. I had to look deep into my store as I have been adding best offers (and increasing the list price to account for that) for a good number of years. Here is a screen capture of one of my oldest. No best offer on it and it has been relisted for years. In fact, I should change it (and will) to allow such offers and add in the free shipping which will change the price to $7.99. I began to do that with all my listings that were media mail or first class letter rates many years ago when I realized people wanted a) free shipping (thanks to Amazon) and b) they wanted to feel like they are able to haggle over price. I found over time, especially with stamps, people don't make offers on them even though I have built it into the price. Hipstamp they always do, sometimes ridiculously low.
