Please forgive me any errors or ridiculous questions posed. I have sheltered mt Great Grandfather's stamp collection for years. Due to circumstances I would like to know how or where the best place to sell the more collectable stamps please. The oneS to which I refer are the Dhow that has a rope disengaged from the mainsail stay on these stamps. I have 3 5c stamps and 3 50c stamps of similar ilk. I have scoured multitudinous internet pages to try and locate genuine collectors who are not bogus. I will upload the scanned stamps in question. Any information about these stamps would be greeted with gratitude. Thank you in advance.Image Not Found
Amend : 4 5c stamps and 2 50c stamps.

Collecting King George VI from all countries, and King Edward VII and King George V from the West Indies.

re: KENYA UGANDA AND TANGANYIKA STAMPS

The initial design of the 1935 King George V KUT stamps for te 5c and 50c values did not join the rope to the sail. It was corrected on the 5c value in 1937. So stamps with the rope not joined are the common ones. Look over the collection and if you have any with the rope joined with King George V, try listing each one on ebay.
If you have King George VI stamps like this with the rope not joined, they are the scarce ones that should be listed for sale. If you are not sure who is who - King George V had a beard, and King George VI did not.

re: KENYA UGANDA AND TANGANYIKA STAMPS

My goodness you are so knowledgeable kgvistamps. I have ten stamps with the rope attached.
I have One King George V 5c rope attached and Nine KG VI rope attached. The KG VI includes a pair joined together. Honestly I did not look at the kings, just the ropes!!!!!
It took me three hours to scan them and another hour to upload them. So idiotic. I blame age. Some septuagenarians are not wired for the wonders of modernity. Apologies. I am unsure about Ebay as I have no idea of their worth. I do appreciate your kind help.

re: KENYA UGANDA AND TANGANYIKA STAMPS

We had a fellow in our club that sold many covers and postcards on ebay. His id was 99cents which is what he priced his items at...of course there was active competition for the better ones and the prices went much higher. Just a suggestion but i would start pricing on the modest side and let the competition decide the price.

Thank you Philb but I do not wish to sell that cover as I find it charming. Thank you for your input and knowledge. Best wishes.
