Hi to all
I do not specialize in German Stamps, but my Wife purchased a whole lot of second hand albums in an opp shop, (Thrift shops overseas)
Among the stamps was this stamp overprinted Berlin and 10 Pf, can anyone tell me why, does it have anything to do with the allied occupation after WWII?
Regards

yes,
these stamps were issued by the combined allied occupation (less CCCP) in Berlin, which, as we know, had been quartered and left sitting adrift in the quarter of the country that had been partitioned for the Soviets.
In Scott, these are listed in Germany, in one of the many occupation sections: 9N prefix in this case. Berlin stamps were issued until the country was re-unified.
