I am new at stamp collecting. With Covid I wanted to find a way to work on a project with my nephew so I pulled out my original stamp collection and he loves it. This is a great way for us both to learn geography and the history of the countries, plus it keeps him away from the TV.
My original stamp album is a Statesman Deluxe and over the years I found albums at garage sales that I just tucked away until recently. One of the albums is a 1930 Modern Postage Stamp Album (picture below) that must have suffered some water damage at the spine and some stamps are stuck. Not sure if I should rip the pages out of the book and soak the pages in luke warm water. Does the book have any value?
My next dilemma is how to organize my collection!
I have the following other albums all with stamps
The New World Wide Postage stamp album (1952)
The International Postage stamp album - Junior Edition (1933)
Modern Postage stamp album (1952)
and my original Statesman Deluxe.
Do I remove the stamps from the other albums and just focus on one?
The the question about the hinges. Should I reuse the hinges, place them all in sleeves or stock sheets.

No, that red Modern Stamp Album is common as dirt.

Reuse hinges? No, definitely not. They don't stick the second time.
My recommendation, focus on one album. Store stamps in a stockbook or stock pages in the short term.

I'm another lady collector and I'd be happy to help answer all of your questions. I've sent you a private message - you should get a red alert on the top of the page.

"Just one more small collection, hun, really! LoL "
I should recommend that you focus on one album and (as suggested above) use the others as feeders. Or perhaps you and your nephew could each have one, just in case.
However, it would be best if you used an album where you put stamps only on one side of the pages. Otherwise, there is a risk that the stamps will become entangled with each other.
Have fun!
