Very polite of them ! i have shipped hundreds of dollar and two dollar covers with never a loss.. on July 23 i put a cover i was fond of on ebay...a U.S.S. Indianapolis ships cover postmarked Pearl Harbor 1941. It sold for $8.00 but the buyer said he did not receive it. Is it some kind of coincidence that cheap covers get through and better ones do not?
I have been waiting for now almost three months on two registered packages from Thailand.
These COVID delays really slowed everything down. By now I would have processed the contents of those packages; added a few hundred stamps to my collection, sold a few hundred stamps and bought a few hundred new stamps with the proceeds.
Oh, well, its good I am a fisherman with loads of patience :-)
"I've been waiting for a letter from Australia. It was mailed mid-April."
David as an Aussie who is waiting too on stamps I am always checking at the post office some mail is getting through but at the moment they are not accepting anything at 'letter rate' as 97% of flights out of Australia have stopped due to closed borders. Usually mail is in the holds of those planes. The post office tells me that tracked parcels are getting through but the difference is a letter cost $3.60 to post international a tracked letter costs $24. Letters (if the post office will accept them) are going sea mail or when they can fit them on the planes. Also tracked services are slow. I have quite a few exchange partners and really have missed my swaps as they are fun but have just got to be patient.
As you say it will come. This will change it's just a blob having to be patient.
