Auctions | My Sisters Granddaughter graduated this year from a prestigious Boston college and was hired by a bank as a trainee for $100,000 a year. I told my Sister we were the working poor !

Inflation is insidious - $100,000 in 2020 dollars is the same as $3,820 in 1913 dollars.

In 1964 i was offered a job at IBM..they were hiring for the coming System 360 computers...one phone call from them 75 dollars a week..take it or leave it. I took it , 52 miles to work each day and 52 back...good thing gas was cheap.
