Going through some used stamps from Australia I found that I have three colors for #1282. Scott lists only two. Does anybody know something about the existence of a yellow-light green color? Could be a fading of an existing color?
Thanks, Virgil

The stamp in orange lettering and value (middle stamp) was issued on October 31, 1993. The stamp with the orange-brown lettering and value (stamp on left) was issued in March 1996.
I have never seen one of these stamps in yellow (at right), it is most likely the ink was affected from over-exposure to light or it was chemically altered.

Virgil, I hope you have a rare variety worth thousands of dollars, there's too much negativity out there!!
Hello Rob,
I agree that there is something strange with the yellow stamp if there is no any other listing in various catalogs. Anything is possible today to "alter" a stamp. What I know is that I got it this way. Because I have it and does not cost me more money, I will keep it as a variety in the set.
Thank you, Virgil
Virgil, I've several Australian stamps with the very same color differences, I don't know if they are
varieties or what but since they look different I keep them side by side.

Hi StampCollector
To find out if the yellow is a proper colour, the stamp would need to be found in MUH condition; in used condition the colour difference may have been the result of the stamp being soaked off paper which may have resulted in many of these stamps having the unusual colour, which I forgot to mention in the last post.
