I received a package with the stamps "cancelled" in this manner...its not pretty ! Usually the Canadian stamps come through uncancelled or favor cancelled. Not sure which side of the border this occurred.Image Not Found

Canadian 5-bar cancels. They are big rubber cancellers that are attached to sorting bins at the post office. They've been in use since the 1980s. I have not seen these being used for a few years. I am glad they are back. They are much better than a pen cancel.

USPS uses these at the clerk cases to cancel uncancelled stamps. They are called daubers.
