Author Postings Horamakhet 17 Jan 2020 01:34:23amHi to all
I have been re sorting my Roo stamps and putting them in watermark and die order.
This was among the recent purchases
This looks like a pair of DIE I & DIE II Penny red roos.
The left hand stamp has the break for the DIE I over the value and the second does not, so I think it is a pair of DIE I and DIE Ii. (see enlargements.)
Pity the postmarks are messy

This is a scan of a die 1, yours looks to be a bit higher.

Thanks for that.
Could it be a new version of a DIE I and DIE II pair?
I can only find the usual DIE I and DIE II

No. If you look at your stamp there are numerous breaks in the shading and frame, probably a result of wear or poor inking.
There are only Die 1, Die 2, and Die 2a.

Hopefully this will help others who do not have a current edition, and I have atttached a scan.
In the 2017 colour edition of the the ACSC Kangaroos, they now list the following dies
DIE I, DIE II, DIE IIA, and and DIE IIB
Tasnaki, all these DIES are driving me crazy.
