The stamp is I think from Spanish Cuba 1873/75.What is this curios cancel?Postal?Thank you.

This is Scott #64 from 1875.
I have a similar (croshatch) cancellation on a 1873 postcard stamp from Cuba, but it also reminds me of French cancellations (grid) of that era. Cannot say I have seen it elsewhere.
