A Machin mounting question to all you "Machin-Experts" out there!
I'm just starting to fill my "Machins Basic" album (downloaded from internet and professionally printed) and was wondering what are the appropriate mount sizes for:
* Small Pre-Decimal Machins
* Large Pre-Decimal Machins
* Small Decimal Machins
* Large Decimal Machins
I REALLY appreciate your help! I'm not too concerned what brand of mount you recommend, but if there is a "better" mount, I'll go with that one. The Showgard 22/25 mounts I have seem just a smidge too big for the Small Pre-Decimal/Decimal machins to "look right" in my album, but they could work, if I trim the mount a bit.
JR, the 24mm is the height of the mount, with a strip you cut to length as required. This size is good for small or large Machins.
If you are going to also collect mint security self adhesives then you will need a 31mm mount, again cut to length.
For used security Machins on paper it will depend on the edge you leave around the stamp.
If you do not want to cut the strips (they are cheaper to buy) then Subway sell pre-cut mounts. http://www.subwaystamp.com/Pre-Cut-Singles/products/665/
