That's not an easy one to find in the Scott catalog. Fortunately I have that stamp too. Anyhow, it is Republic of China (Taiwan), Scott #1508, issued in 1967.
Japanese stamps can be identified by either/or the word "NIPPON", or the double box character that looks like a square number "8".

I looked for the boxy 8 too, but figured it might be an earlier Japanese inscription.
My mid-Sixties Ambassador album doesn't have a separate section for Taiwan or Republic of China. Was H.E. Harris afraid of offending Communist China back then?!
