Just wondering if we have anyone in the group who collects Post bands / Postal Wrappers used for newspapers etc ? I have a small Canada collection and am seeking information and the time frame of use. Any help is appreciated.
Apparently Canada is unique in that it produced POSTAGE DUE newspaper wrappers. I don`t have one in my collection.,but still searching .

re: Collecting Post Bands or Wrappers
The newspaper wrappers were used in several British Colonies. Here are the countries that have listings for King George VI wrappers as noted in the Higgins & Gage Postal Stationery Catalog. Canada probably has them from this time period. I just did not include it in the list when I compiled it from the catalog.
Australia
Barbados
Bermuda
British Guiana
British Honduras
Cyprus
Grenada
Ireland
Jamaica
Leeward Islands
Mauritius
New Zealand
South Africa
Trinidad & Tobago

I cannot help in your quest for more information on Canadian wrappers, but I can add to this thread, because I do have a few wrappers in my worldwide collection, including a Canadian QEII PRECANCELLED wrapper scanned below. I have never seen a POSTAGE DUE Canadian wrapper, and my search through eBay came up empty. I would like to see one, if anyone has a scan of one.
I also scanned a Queen Victoria wrapper from India, from my collection.
