Here are 4 Peru telegraph stamps I received yesterday. I have never seen them before and as most all telegraph stamps they are not listed in Scott. Could someone with a different
catalog, most likely Michel, give me years of issue, other values in the set and catalog values for these 4 stamps.
Besides the telegrafos overprint there is another one in Red and Violet. It reads Peru on the first line and something else on the second. Can anyone make out what the bottom line reads.
I see this on the first three stamps but don't see it on the last stamp.

Mitch , the first stamp seems to have the letters "LAMA" ending the word below the Peru overprint/underprint. Image below.

The second stamp seems show a "G" starting the word. Then perhaps another "A"

re: Peru telegraph stamps

Just found this site which appears to give the answer that they were the places of usage.

Sheepshanks, Thanks much! That's a great site and it answered all the questions I had on those stamps and a few others I have.

re: Peru telegraph stamps

Thanks for posting these, Antonius. Sheepshanks has found the same site I found a few years ago. Back in the 1980s, I had purchased an old Nicaragua collection in a Yvert & Tellier album. That album included spaces for the Nicaragua telegraph stamps—there are many!

I've been in touch with that site's owner/founder because I had stamps he either didn't have images for or didn't have very good copies to scan. I've also found a couple of variants he did not yet have. So I've contributed a few scans to the project. I'm sure there are other voids that he'd like to fill if anyone here notices gaps at his website.

I posted two pages from that Yvert & Tellier album here.
