Hi, my name is Alan and this is my first venture into the world of stamp forums.
I’ve been collecting for 50 years since I was a small child though. I live on the West Coast of Scotland.
It’s always been a solitary hobby for me as no one else I know gets it.
I have a pretty large collection (I think about 16 Linder albums now) and it is always being added to. I guess the advent of eBay made it too easy for me!
I only collect mint stamps, mainly Great Britain & Commonwealth but also France and Colonies.
I’m getting to the point where I have almost completed these except for those stamps I will never be able to afford (or at least justify the cost!) so I have found myself venturing a little into other countries.
I don’t go into all the watermarks, perfs, printing variations as it has never interested me. I just like the stamps in nice fresh sets laid out well for display. I like the information you learn from them etc.
So I will delve into this forum and see what I can find.
Cheers. Al.

A Sassenach is a Scottish derogatory word for an English person. Check out the Outlander series of books by Diana Gabaldon recently made into a TV series.
Wecome Al, from Barcelona (Catalonia). I've twice to your lovely country, although not much on the West coast, just Edinburgh and the Highlands.
I hope you'll enjoy the forum!
