I have Germany stamps with special/CTO/souvenir/commemorative (???) cancels.
I am looking for a link to identify these cancels.
How the quota differs from postal cancelled stamps?
Most of the cancels are indeed commemorative ones. They will be worth as much as anybody who wants then for their collection are preparend to spend. The Flensburg ones are probably favour cancels with an ordinary post office date stamp and will certainly value less than specimens that really went through the mails, in particular because the stamps were only in use for a short time. The Innsbruck and Hamburg postmarks match the stamps, which is rather nice. But I've got no idea at all how this would be expressed in your favourite currency.
You'll probably need to contact some people who specialise in German postmarks. www.poststempelgilde.de might be a place to visit, they might be able to point you to someone who could help you with details.
Thanks Martin for the link but not knowing German I find it very difficult.
I have received from Stamporama members very useful information and I hope that in the future I will receive the same help.
I found out on the net that the stamp dated 20.04.1939 was applied on the occasion of Hitler's birthday.
