I found this in one of those kitchen sink boxes i took an oath never to buy again. The front is great but the back is a bit ratty where they tore the seal off. I wish it were in better shape !

re: 1852 Belgian cover
I think the best thing about the old covers is the magnificent hand writing. My mother was almost unschooled but she had the most amazing hand writing. I was a teacher for 34 years (high school math) and noticed incredible changes. I had to keep a copy of the times table on the front wall and now the kids are not being taught cursive writing. I know this makes me officially an "old fuddy-duddy" but writin' like is on your cover is now almost extinct. I think that's a real loss!!!

The Palmer method, Phil.
My father never finished the sixth grade,
he had to work selling news papers,
but every year he sat in the kitchen
addressing and commenting on X-mas cards
with a hand writing that was a wonder to
behold.
