First the colors in Stampworld are less than accurate - different scans from different sources. Papers are yellowed or brownish distorting the true color.
Michel specialized notes the colors as
10
a red-orange - orange tones
b dark reddish orange - brownish orange]
40
a black opal green to blackish green
b dark green (porous print) pale green
However the problem is that unless you can match them exactly a multitude of shades come into play.
These were sent to me by a collector from a German forum and the colors do match the Michel or at least appear to.
red orange
dark red orange
Dark Opal green
Pale Green - very high CV or is it just a worn faded stamp??
An examiner would use a microscope and check out the pigments to determine the type - so for the average collector - good luck!
