A friend of mine showed these, the two stamps of the Fenians issue that were issued in 1967. As you can see, there is one 5p stamp that has the wrong colour. Does anyone know what could have happened here? Is it a chemical colour change or is there something else going on here? No catalogue mentions an error for the Fenians, so we are at a dead end, sort of.
There is no mention of a color error in Hibernian, Feldman or any of my Irish specialty literature after a brief search. I would submit this to the PF or APS for examination. If it is indeed a color error it would be an amazing find.
My first thought would be some sort of chemical color change. But the fact that is it is the exact same color as the other value makes a printing error seem more likely.
FASCINATING FIND!

"Just one more small collection, hun, really! LoL "
My friend contacted Raven stamps and this is the reply he got:
"This is the second of these items that has turned up recently, nobody will purchase an item like this for any serious amount of money without an expert certificate as there is too great a danger that it is a colour changeling.
