Today I bought this German World War I postcard from a dealer at NAPEX. It is one of a propaganda series printed by Wilhelm S. Schröder Nachf., Berlin, and depicts victorious German soldiers (right) pursuing fleeing Frenchmen (left). The front text is apparently from a children's rhyme and roughly translates as "One, two, three - in double quick - run the frenchmen, we run along!"
From the back, one can see that it was postmarked at Koslin (then in Western Pomerania, now Polish) on 16 March 1915. What does the purple 'St' marking signify?
Is anyone able to read German cursive of this period and decipher the message on the back? Thanks for any assistance.
