Hi Pooh The stamp was issued between 1886 - 1895, as I'm partially colour blind, there are 5 shades to this stamp (referring to the stamp on the right). Pale Lilac (17.12.1886) Pale Mauve (1887) Deep Lilac (1888, 1892) Purple (1894) Violet (1895) It has a 12½ perforation and an upright V over Crown watermark. The stamp on the left may be a chemical changeling as the cancellation mark has faded with the shading of the stamp. Rob

Hi Pooh The perforations on both stamps are the same, the perforating process was quite primitive, and the stamp on the left has seen better days. Rob
Could someone please tell me what perforations these two stamps are as the first one looks totally different to the second one. I know I have to get a gauge but at this moment don't have one yet. Any help would be good Thankyou
