Thankyou for the information and I found this very interesting. The stamp came in a little bundle tied with cotton. I wouldn't have a clue what was in the bundle but old Victoria stamps which was common in there and then this stamp came out. has anyone seen this stamp before??
It's a cutout from a postal stationery article now I know. Rob could you also tell me this The koala up the tree, man with a tail and Planatoon stamps where the error is did they do this on purpose. As where the koala is we all know they live in trees and the planatoon stamp they have the errors where it is making something else. I just would like to know did the printers do this on purpose or not??

re: stamp duty stamp
Hi Pooh
The "koala in tree" (it was named a "koala" as it is situated on the side of a tree; in reality koalas do not hang on the branch free side of a tree) and "Pantaloon" were not deliberate errors, if they were they wouldn't have much value to them, they were caused by the doctor blade leaving ink flaws (blotches, streaks, stripping etc).
The colour flaw in the background tree can also be seen faintly in the foreground tree, and the "koala" can be seen (illusion effect - can only be done with two "koala in tree" varieties) jumping from the back to the front and visa versa if both stamp images are flicked from one to the other; this can be done by two mint unhinged stamps or finely used stamps where both trees are not affected by the cancellation.
