The Scott Catalogue does not list Italy SC #17 as issued imperforate. Question: The stamp appears to be genuine and likely the perforations were cut. This "High Value" stamp has been hinged, has no gum, nor cancellation marks; thus it is (MH No GUM). Given these factors, is there any way to estimate valuation?
Well, well, what a surprise. Sardinia! I never would have found it under that listing, because my search patience level would have evaporated in the process. It looks like my "High Value" prize just went from Italy #17 to the "low Value" Sardinia #11. Well, I guess this is why I still collect stamps after 65 years of collecting. The hobby is always full of surprises. Thanks (Stampbaby)
