Ok a question
There are embroidered postcards from the WWl period.
Is there an easy way to distinguish which ones are hand embroidered from those embroidered by machine ?
The history behind these embroidered postcards is quite interesting and I am hoping to learn more about them . Hope someone can help

re: Embroidered Postcards

This is one of those questions that make many of us

wish that Richaard was still with us -

I'd be willing to bet he had the answer.

You've probably already found these, but for others here are some informative links:

Amazing information
Thankyou for sharing.
A fellow collector spoke about hand embroidered cards in her collection. Now this sheds new info on the claim.

re: Embroidered Postcards

.
Most of the embroidered postcards I've seen have been ethnographic.

"Traditional costumes of Spain" seem to be the most common, though there certainly are others.

They are usually well-executed, colorful, and have held-up well.

Cheers,
