WillLack 19 Jan 2019 07:24:05am	Can you help me identify this cancellation on this Hong Kong 1884 10c Green wmk Crown CA Yang 36 It looks like a squared circle cancel with the same? cancel twice on the stamp MA....on the left side and DI maybe on the right from the top part the bottom on has the other part UEETH or JEETH with perhaps M next - any ideas as to the location would be gratefully received... I am the Hong Kong Study Circle's Librarian and looking through all our resources I have not found anything relevant -it is not a China or Japanese treaty port cancel - probably some arrival marking but where??? Is it possible that the stamp was not cancelled in Hong Kong but had pen lines drawn over before being franked by the receiving postal authority in India as John suggests. Login to Like this post
