This stamp is part of a series of stamps from the 1970's and 1980's issued unofficially for the region of Dhufar which lies within the SUltanate of Oman. Since they were unofficially produced the Scott catalog does not list these.

Oman stamps will always state the name of the country as the "Sultanate of Oman".
