Does any know a good way to keep the post horn stamps from Norway apart, how to Identify them. I just sat for 3 hours trying to sort 5 stamps with no concrete results. I have a fairly large amount of these and if I continue with them I might throw them, book and catalog out the window.

If you have any with clearly dated postmarks, you can use those as an aide as well.
Example:
Using the pictures in the article Musicman posted: If you have one that is clearly dated 1880, then it cannot be any of the issues released after 1880, only the issues printed previous to that. But like I said, it only works for those with clear dates. It's not fool proof, but it will allow you eliminate some of the choices.

We used to have a wonderful man named Rob who specialised in this area. Sadly after his stroke he had no interest in stamp collecting. His wealth of knowledge is greatly missed.

I found one helpful page in Norwegian I think it´s from a dealer, unfortunately when I try to find a page in German all I get is e-bay and the like. This is going to be a challenge! Had a similar problem with the older stamps from Sweden but got them sorted after awhile. Again thank you all for your helpfulness. You people are the best.
