Here is a list of the Kennbuchstabe (literally: letter label) that were used in Nazi postmarks. I clipped it out of a stamp hobby newspaper a couple of decades ago.

Late to the party for me as usual.

Isn't this a list of censorship offices? The letters correspond to the censor handstamps and tape strips issued by each of the censorship offices in these cities.

Yes, Bruce, I believe you are correct. "Location" would be where mail incoming from "Areas served" was censored. This could assist in understanding how/where censored letters were routed.
