Has anyone else received a notice on your Paypal screen that as of June 30 you will not be able to access them unless you upgrade your browser to one compatible with their new security safeguards? I access PP on two devices, my laptop for over 90% of what I do on there using windows 10 and have not received a warning when using that device. Apparently they don't like my desktop using windows 7. I knew it was just a matter of time before I had to upgrade but now wonder if I need to. I do nearly all my purchases and transactions using the laptop.
Yeah I should have upgraded before now. Just wondering if others have gotten this?
You say "browser" and then ask about Windows 7. Windows 7 is an operating system - a browser would be Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer, etc (easily changeable).
Next time you see the message see if it says "browser" or "operating system". I can't imagine them referring to Windows 7 since many businesses have not (and may not ever)swwitch to Windows 10.
I use both a Mac and a PC (Windows 7) and if Windows 7 becomes totally obsolete I will switch entirely to Macs. When I worked for the government they were utilizing Windows 95 until they finally upgraded to Windows 7.

re: PayPal Security
Windows 7 went 'end of life' when Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows 7 on January 13, 2015. (But they still support it if you purchased extended support paskages.)
Don - thank you for the links. I know Windows 7 is end of life but I have a couple of specialty programs that aren't supported by Windows 10 (or vice versa?).
Anyway - the key is safe computing and one of our government techies checks out my computers (two with Win 7) every couple of months. Will just convert to Mac when the need arises. I have all data duplicated on the Mac and there are only a couple of applications that I haven't found a suitable substitute for.
Hopefully with all important data on 3 computers and a few zip drives (remotely located) I don't need to worry too much about loss of data.
Again - thanks for the links.
